Stockings As Transparent Lingerie

For many years women's stockings and lingerie have covered blemishes on the legs, thighs and buttocks. It used to be that stockings as lingerie were used with a garter belt, or other fastenings to hold them up and they were made of silk. A silk pair of stockings were guarded like family jewels, they were expensive, and were only brought out for special occasions. The advent of nylon brought nylons and stockings to the forefront with ease of production, many different sizes, less cost, and the ability to use them without garter belts, fastenings, or other items to hold them up. You can now find nylons or stockings in a variety of colors, fabrics and styles, and most of the time they have a panty or waistband built right into them so you don't have to use a garter belt.

There are many styles of nylon stockings today that still use a garter belt as part of their underwear. It's considered intimate apparel when you used with thigh high nylons, or stockings that use a garter belt. Garter belts are often decorated with ribbons, jewels and lace and are considered intimate apparel.

There are quite a variety of stockings and nylons, including fishnet stockings, which are made from a single or corded nylon in a fishnet pattern. There are larger holed stockings called fencenet, similar to fishnet but with larger holes . Old-fashioned ones called full fashioned which have the seams at the back of the legs similar to the silk stockings of ages ago. There are thigh high stockings that do not need a garter belt, an elastic piece that anchors the stocking or nylon around the thigh about mid-level. And of course there is stockings and pantyhose that come with feet in them, only to the ankles, and with stirrups as well.

Stockings come in a wonderful variety of sheer, opaque, solid, and even some patterned fabrics. Some are for use in the winter time and are made of heavy sock like material, others are the sheerest of sheers for summer wear. When it comes to finding stockings whether you're looking for thigh high, those used with a garter belt, or full pantyhose you can find them just about anywhere and there's a good chance that if you order them online you're liable to save money

Shopping online is a great way to find your pantyhose, stockings or nylons. You'll find a variety of choices and colors, fabrics and styles. The best part about shopping online is you'll find innovative stockings and nylons that you won't find in your downtown department store. You'll be able to shop for those special stockings for that special occasion from the privacy of your own home. The online lingerie and stocking stores are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for your lingerie shopping pleasure.
